To date, there are not many works devoted to the phonetic features of such English dialects as Brummie and Geordie, which explains the relevance of this study.
The objective of the study is to identify phonetic features of the Brummie and Geordie dialect of the English language.
To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve a number of the following tasks:
•    define the concept of «dialect» and explain the essence of this concept;
•    to study the existing classifications of dialects in English;
•    to outline features of TV series “Peaky Blinders” and importance of dialect for creating the atmosphere of that time in the series
•    identify the main phonetic features of Brummie and Geordie in TV series “Peaky Blinders”;
The object of the research is dialect vocabulary of the English language.
