The thesis contains three chapters. The first one is devoted to the theoretical aspects of linguistics and advertisements. First of all, the term linguistics is explained and its main concepts are described. Then, the types, the principles and main tools of advertisements are discussed. Finally, the role of linguistics in advertisements is explained.
The second chapter focuses on the language of advertising. It provides an insight into the functions of the advertising language, attention-attracting tools in advertisements and finally, linguistic branches such as phonology, lexis and orthography, and syntax and morphology. 
The purpose of the final chapter of the thesis is to analyze nine Nestle’s advertising slogans. Advertising ultimately affects the addressee’s consciousness and behavior and manipulates their actions with the help of special linguistic techniques. The author of this thesis is going to evaluate advertising language and tools that are used for those purposes in practice by looking at advertising campaigns of a big corporation.
