In conclusion, FDI can become a tool to achieve economic growth for emerging markets, but its success depends on many factors, primarily on the use and deployment of the opportunities it provides, including the latest technologies and knowledge, which are a side effect of foreign investment. Much also depends on the sector of the economy in which FDI is invested, the development of infrastructure, financial sector, and the conditions provided in the host country. With a poorly developed infrastructure, low quality of human capital, a lack of legislation regulating the activities of foreign companies, and with too much dependence on FDI flows, foreign investment can only aggravate the situation in a developing country, not improve it.
