There are multiple scenarios how Apple might continue its operations with Chinese contract manufacturers. Apple had to take initial measures, since the situation started affecting its reputation and image worldwide. One of the solutions here is for Apple to completely review their contracts with Chinese suppliers and ensure that they follow labor laws. Regarding these violations, Apple also understood that not in all regions of China the regulations are implemented with the same level of diligence. This can be explained by the desire of some regions to increase their own competitiveness when it comes to high efficiency of production, which is sometimes reached by abusing the legal norms. Apple is trying to protect the image of their company that is open and transparent about its actions, but with the latest scandals it is possible to say that it is not entirely true (Axon, 2020).
